As lens technology progresses, frame choice for patients with high prescriptions has expanded well beyond the days when compromises had to be made due to thick lenses. High index plastic lenses now mean thinner, flatter & lighter lenses.  

Lenses are available in standard plastic, glass & ultra tough polycarbonate materials. Transition lenses are now up to Edition VI –going lighter or darker faster than previous versions.

Varifocals are the most popular choice for both reading and distance vision. Many people are nervous about switching but the sooner you do, the easier the adaptation is.  Our main supplier – Essilor are so confident in the Varilux designs that there is a 30 day satisfaction guarantee.

Many of our sunglasses including Ray-Ban, Maui Jim, Serengeti, Chanel & Dior can be glazed to prescription - even many curved models. These can include polarising technology to further reduce glare.
